I did it! It is a beautiful morning so I decided to go early. I was out by 7, it was crisp and sunny. I managed the 20 mins and it really is a big jump up from 8 minutes. I decided to go very slowly so I could keep going. I even managed to keep going up the inclines. I had to do run 2 twice as I went too fast the first time and just ran out of puff so I was not going to make the same mistake. I now feel so good, well worth the effort.

Thank you. I am a morning person. I just cannot get motivated to go out in the evening and a morning run sets me up for the day. I am still on an endorphin high.

Well done. I always run slowly (Japanese slow jogging technique) and found that a short stride low impact style of running really suits me (started running this way about w6). I’ve been adding 5 mins to one of my runs, tomorrow I’m going to try a 50 min run - but that’s only possible for me because of the slowness! W6 goes back to intervals for 2 runs building to a longer one. So stay slow if that’s what keeps you running (if you’re interested in the technique - just search Japanese slow jogging movement on youtube and you’ll find a short film showing it all). Good luck with your next few runs!
