Made it!

It’s taken months and it’s not been 3 times a week but I made it... never thought I would and it feels good. Good to ache less in parts of my body seemingly unrelated to running like my shoulders and neck, good to have started a habit of not listening to my personal undermining demons and starting to isolate and neutralise them, feeling slimmer, discovered what is stopping me from plodding on towards what I want to do. Running for me is a very personal, solo (for now) thing and although I liked the buzz, I’m not going to focus on park running for my regular habit which I need to work on establishing. Also sleep better after a late afternoon run.

If I can do this, anyone can. Even if you are not sure, decide to try n believe it and give it a shot. It’s not just your fitness that gets better, it really is everything else as well..

But of a confessional, sorry, but it’s good and I’m looking forward to continuing to take Michael out with me for the next few weeks...

Congratulations! And all so true - I love the way running (and I run very slowly!) makes me feel - strong and as you say the negative self criticism gone too. I redid the graduation run multiple times and changed the coach for variation to consolidate. Well done & happy running!
