Run a bit slower. And don’t worry about counting breaths as the app suggests: most people on here found that didn’t help and that breathing gradually sorted itself out over a few weeks as they got used to running. But going slower does help.

If you are struggling with breathing at this stage..then just slow down...relax and breathe like you do all the time... without thinking about it
Slow and steady is the mantra and you will be amazed where it takes you
I got to week 4 before I was fit enough to breathe deeply and slowly enough.
Looking back, I could have repeated runs to help with my breathing.
My breathing is fine now on week 6.
Hi Hayley, i remember wishing I had an oxygen tank behind me! I tried controlling my breathing but it was never going to work. I’ve just done W4R2 and the breathing has stopped being gasping 😅 it’ll sort itself out as you progress. Enjoy.
