I did it! I just ran a very blustery, haily, rainy 4.9km (so close!) last run of couch to 5k.
In just over 9 weeks I’ve literally gone from couch to 5k. I’m as unathletic as they come and my goal to complete this programme hasn’t come without chortles and doubt from friends who thought I wasn’t capable! But I’m here and fully converted.
Anyone in those early weeks struggling and literally crawling their way through, keep going and trust it cos if I can do it anyone can!

Congratulations! Your friends may have laughed and doubted... but I bet they’re damn proud of you now... as are we. Celebrate well, enjoy consolidation, bagging that oh so close 5k and all your future running adventures
Congratulations! You should be so proud of yourself for sticking with it. I'm sure you are a tremendous influence on those around you. What's next for you? Will you be sticking around here and keeping us updated on your journey?
I’ll be around for sure, I’m putting no pressure on myself but am aiming on running every other day or at least twice a week. Just going to continue with 30 minutes for a while and see where it takes me. Will no doubt set some goals further down the line as my pace and distance improves 🙂
Good plan. Having spent some time on the IC due to pushing myself too hard, I'm in the same boat. Just going to consolidate and enjoy the lighter nights.
So well done! I should complete the plan this week too and have amazed myself! Only told my friends last night that I have been doing it - their faces!
