Back in August, I started C25k and completed all the runs on the treadmill as I felt to self conscious to run outside. In January, an old friend started a running group following the C25 programme and I thought this would help get me running outside and I have just completed w9r3 and have not been near the treadmill at all.
If you're like me, honestly no-one takes any notice (other than to move out of your way, or to smile and say Hi). I am a convert and I have run in the rain, snow and just above freezing temperatures which is unheard of for me as I hate the cold. I have even got hubby running too.
So I just wanted to encourage any one worried about running outside - don't be - give it a go. Good luck!

Congratulations on re graduating if there is such a word, this time outside with your running group.
Many runners who have graduated and ran all 6/30 minute consolidation runs then go for the full 5K distance, get a PB either then go on to run a 10K, 10 mile, HM or full marathon distance or like me don't run so much or stop running altogether.
I have not stopped running altogether but come the warmer weather I like you will have to rerun some of the runs of C25K, probably starting with week 3.
I go for long walks but I sometimes have a run as well during the walk based on week 1 or 2 of C25K, hence me starting around week 3. π
Tomorrow Iβm doing w5r3. All on the treadmill at the moment. Will see how I go. I tried outside once and found it really difficult. You have to actually propel yourself when outside so itβs much more difficult.
