Welcome Dave. These last two weeks really are tiny steps up... you’ve done the hardest work now. Nice slow and steady pace, and get into your happy rhythm.

Bushy is a busy run, I need to come run it one day just to see how they deal with 1200+ runners.

Thanks mate

Yeah bushy is busy but very local to me and I’ve got lots of friends that run bushy

Il let you know when my first run is and maybe you could run it for the first time as well

I’m a couple of hundred miles away, but I’ll no doubt make the pilgrimage at some point... I want to run Old Deer and Nonsuch too, just because of the names.

Hey. I’ve done (Walk/run) Nonsuch. It’s beautiful and the people are super lovely. 🤗

Cool... I have some more relatively local to tick off too... my daughter wants Peter Pan parkrun to be our first road trip one.

Bushy is great Johnsey. I did it wk 6:2 (run/walk) and wk 7:2 (run) and although there were over 1400 runners, it was very well organised and a good course. I’ll probably be doing it most Saturday mornings from now on (although can’t this Saturday). Just be warned that if you plan to drive there, you have to get there super early (by 8:20) to get a parking space near the start/finish.

Hi Dave. I’ve just done W8R1 and have been starting to think about a park run. Although I’m on the Isle of Wight, so mine is tiny compared to Bushy Park (which weirdly is near where I grew up). Feeling a bit daunted about getting out and running with others as I always run alone. Quite scared about being the one who nearly dies at the end 🙄🙄🙄. Will be interested to hear how you get on.

I’m on the Isle of Wight in April I think

Il confirm as soon as I have dates and possibly join you on a park run if possible

Good luck for the rest of the app, I hope it goes well for you
