Just completed w8 and I think I can now say I'm a runner. On course to do w9 b4 50 which is in two weeks. Not easy and trying to pick up pace. Don't want to use the word complete programme as really hope to make this a part of my life now and not stop. Looking forward to first quest!

Well done..just relax into these longer runs.. the legs know what they are doing and you can just let them find their happy pace:)

I think happy pace is on the couch!! It's a push every run I never look forward to it but never regret it.

You don’t need to work on pace yet (I’m a confirmed 🐌 doing the Japanese slow jogging technique). You are a runner, but a new one, and the most important first step is duration, not speed. If speed is important to you, build on this slowly after you’ve consolidated post graduation. I’m 53, one run a week building (currently 40 mins, later this week 45!) but I’m still not at 5k 🤣🤣. But as post 40 yo newbies we are at greater risk of injury and all the amazing physical changes take a bit longer to happen. So nice and slow! Happy running, runner!!

If you are managing the runs ok just keep at your normal pace, you don't want to speed things up and injure yourself . You will get this done before your birthday, like me I graduated 2 days before mine good luck 😊
