Can you rerun a run

Hey all

I’m only on week 1, and completed run 2 today and wondered if I can repeat run 2. Basically I’m too impatient to keep waiting to run. Is it silly to do that? Or shall I go ahead and run if I want to?!

Thanks in advance everyone 😊

If you ran, run 2 today, and completed it... then you move on to run 3..but only after at least one day's rest... don't miss a rest day... there is plenty to do on rest days if you have bags of energy.

Please check this post for newbies out...

Do you mean do it twice in one day? The rest days are as important as the run days. You’re repairing micro tears to your muscles - which means building new muscle. If you don’t rest or do too much you risk injury, and not being able to run at all. You can do other exercises on you non running days (there’s a Laura Flex & strength podcast too). Or have I read you wrong?!

Trust the plan. Sometimes it seems strange but it does work. You'll be at wi9 before you know it and you have plenty of challenges to come.

Keep going forward with the plan MTTBs. I remember feeling like this but after a days rest you pick it up and carry it forward. You’ll be surprised how soon you are looking back and thinking “Blimey!! I can’t believe I’ve jogged for that long!” Slow n steady.

Highly inadvisable - based on feedback over the years just on here even - to skip the Rest Days.

Road will still be there every second day, no worries :)

Thanks everyone. I guess you’ve all just clarified what I thought. I’ll just have to be more patient! Or perhaps do other exercise maybe?

Thanks again everyone, your replies are appreciated!

Plenty else you can do. Anything non-impact still lets your muscles recover, so swim, cycle, Pilates and even brisk walking are all ok. Strength & flexibility exercise of all kind is fine. 😊👍

You may be impatient having a rest day but they are there for a reason, trust the plan and everyone else who has trusted it 😊
