Hello. Newbie here. Just completed my week 5 second run. I feel like the pace over the weeks has rly been working for me. Just completed my 8 minutes run with 5 minutes walk and another 8 run after. Felt great. Knackered obvious. I had a look at the 3rd run and it's jumped up to 20 minutes run no walking. I feel this is a crazy jump and that week 6 looks more in keep with the pace. Don't know whether to skip run 3 and just go to week six. Eeep long post. Just wondered how other people coped with the 3rd run in week 5

Week 5 run 3
Just stay with the plan! It’s all fiendishly calculated to strengthen you bit by bit and has worked for thousands. 😊 If the Plan says Do This Next, then you can do it. If when you actually get to doing it, you feel it’s a bit tough, you can always run slower. 🐢💨 Don’t overthink it; just jog/shuffle on....
Just go on to wk5r3 next you've done all the practice for it you will surprise yourself with what you can do , don't worry . Come back and let us know how you got on afterwards 😊
Like others have said the plan is fiendishly thought out. Remember you have just run for 16 minutes with a brisk 5 minute walk in between so the gap to a twenty minute run is not as big as it seems. Take it slower to start with and you will be amazed at what you can do. We've all been in the same position as you and we all came through. It's only your head that can stop you doing this so believe in the plan and yourself and go smash it.
I know how you feel! I was in your position last week... but as Ambleman said, you've already put in the minutes!! In my head, I broke the 20 min run into 4 x 5 minute sections (and I think the coach does this too...)... after two sections I was halfway there, etc... and final five minutes? That was one-and-a-half songs worth of running. Have faith in yourself... and the plan. You'll do it!! Good luck x
Great advice from the other posts above. You'll manage W5R3 if you've completed all the previous runs. Yes, you'll be knackered but the feeling afterwards is fantastic Good luck
Stick to the plan and read this healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
