Just finished week 1 but really missing walking every day. Can I still walk between 3 runs/week or do I have to take rest days?

Yeah... get some walking in on rest days, it’s great for this... especially brisk walking, I’ve been using the active 10 app and forum for a couple of weeks now and my legs feel even better when I run. Rest days are only a rest for high impact leg work.

Great job on week one... enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains that rest days are rests from impact exercise........ walking is fine and beneficial.

Enjoy your journey.

Thank you. I am a bit nervous as I have reached my 70th year, but will follow plan and hopefully feel 40 again soon!!

Absolutely walking is fab and as unfitnomore has said already, do use the active 10 app. I also use the NHS strength and flexibility podcast on my rest days and body project low impact beginner workout which is fabulous for support alongside your C25K journey - good luck xx
