So this is day 1. I need to lose weight and get fit. Im now the same age as my dad was when he died of a cardiac arrest. Ive recently quit smoking but since last july ive gained 3st. This needs to come off as im suck of being morbidly obese. Pic below was yesterday. I will post 1 later from when i lost weight before

Well done for quitting smoking! Now to replace it with running/jogging. All the best. The programme builds up carefully & you will be amazed what you can do. Going slowly doesn’t matter - just going. 👏🏼

Hello! Welcome. There are a few newbies kicking about. I have just done week1 run 3. Run one nearly killed me and I was very sweaty and had to stop two or three times. I hate to say it but by run 3 I still looked like a beetroot but was able to do it without stopping. I might stay on week one for a time or two longer just so I don’t kill myself! When is your first run 🏃🏻‍♀️

Well done getting started. I’m on a similar journey (started in November). Measure yourself as you’ll tone and lose inches. Then just try and shift to healthier food choices. This is amazing, in terms of fitness, the weight loss is slow (I’ve lost 3/4 stone) but many many inches, and I feel I’ve run it off rather than yo yo dieting. I’m thinking about the weight loss over a year or two. Good luck! It’s a minor miracle what you can achieve!
