Hi All, I’ve been benched due to shin splints for about 2 months, clearly I don’t want to go out all guns blazing only to injure myself but I’m not sure what to do. I should say that I had graduated in November but I’m wondering whether I should start the c25k programme again or something else?

I would try some of the runs from week 4 (I did when I restarted after a non running period). If it all goes well then do the 20mins of week 5, then either do each week or a run from each week. It will give you some structure but you can also progress more quickly if you are ready.

I was out for about three months with a dislocated hip. I did the programme from scratch again - I learned a lot because of that. When you "know" you are going to make it because you did it before, it's a lot more enjoyable and you also start focusing on details that make your runs better
Wishing you many happy miles in your future 🙂

After a similar time on the IC I repeated the programme.
It was easier though, especially the first few weeks (what a difference!)
I suppose the really important issue is, have you resolved the cause of your shin splints?
