W7R2 update

This was the view this morning as I finished W7R2 - who would have thought that this was a few metres from the M60 and, more surprisingly, a short run from my very urban home.

Running was no problem. First time out with my Garmin, which gave some interesting stats. Very steady running cadence throughout. Pace-wise, started off very much faster than the rest of the run, then dropped to my slowest then found my comfortable pace, which was then pretty steady until Laura's urge to pick it up with 1 minute to go.

No sign of the earlier pain so think I'm back to normal now.

Onwards and upwards. :)

Looks nice, I love being around water, going to have to find a route next to a River round here. I have finished W7 myself and found it to be the start of "enjoying" the run.

I've been here well over 20 years and never been to that spot before! It was lovely, I have to say.

Wow that is a stunning view!

Interesting about the stats, mine are much rougher as I don’t have a lovely garmin like you, but that is roughly what happens to my pace too.

Oh and great news about the lack of pain

Phew! Several times over. Still on track to graduate on my birthday weekend as planned. :)

Monday all being well! I'd hoped to graduate at a park run but because I had 2 extra rest days, that moved it along, it doesn't matter though, I'm not looking at post 30'!!

Excellent work, and a beautiful location !

Thank you. :) I turned around because I was near the end of my run and there was a main road to cross. But I've looked on Google Earth and it looks like the path continues a long way, so hopefully will see a bit more next week. :)

Love it - turning a run into a voyage of discovery 😄

Great job... glad the pain has gone. Think I’ve been to that spot many moons ago... before the M60. Forgotten how much green there is around the route... guess it needed to be to build it 😂

Happy running.

Sadly I had my music blaring. Will try a "quiet run" after I graduate. In fact I may designate 1 run a week as a quiet run. :)

Lovely outlook. It’s excellent how this running thing exposes new pleasures along the way, isn’t it. Glad the twinges and aches are now in the past!

The aches are back but the twinges seem to have gone. But everything feels fine once I've warmed up properly so onwards and upwards. :)

Glad you were fine running :)

And that pic makes me realise how much I miss England's"green and pleasant" :)

Thank you. :) Where abouts do you live now Irish-John ?

USA Pianism - a bit too far from the coast for my liking but been far worse places.

Spent time in Birmingham, Croydon and the Horsham areas back in the day, and out and back through Dover more times than I can remember :)

Truth be told, IMHO Ireland is a very strange place to me nowadays but would happily settle in England, Wales or the Scottish Isles :)

Ireland is so beautiful but probably not my cup of tea for a home either. I'd like to be nearer the coast... perhaps one day. :)

I grew up seeing the ocean from my bedroom window. You sometimes never truly appreciate something until you don't have it anymore. But - such is life :)
