So having reached wk 5 run 2 i went down with flu, three weeks on Im staying at hotel and decide to do run 3 of wk 5 but when i got to the gym they didnt have a treadmill so i went on the cross trainer, did the same program, 5 min warm 20min 'run' 5 min walk. Does it count? Is it the same?

Not the same... but great exercise for you anyway...if you ran with resistance and incline you had a good work out... but it is not quite the same as a run.. so maybe..head outside to have a go??? Or.. Move back to treadmill for your next run:)

Thanks, I normally run outside but being away on business its sometimes more convienient to use the gym rather than trying to workout where to run. But it was good to do some exercise.

100% guarantee that the hotel reception will have a 5km recommended running route. The only place that I've not found this to be true was a waterfront hotel in Durban (but then they did not recommend leaving the hotel after dark, either).
