Week 1 Run 3 - need to repwat

Good morning runners! What a morning that was! Beautiful day but terrible couch to 5k today. Got a heel blister half way through so needed to stop and then had to walk home with one shoe on and one shoe off! Although I did most of it just the last 1 60 second run I missed, so going to repeat it again on Wednesday. Any tips of heel blister care? Thanks and hope you enjoy your Sunday.

Well done for getting that far. You should be very proud!

Unfortunately I’m not a source of good information on blisters - I generally pop them and cut the dead / dried covering skin off. I’m fairly certain that goes against everything the healthcare profession says.

I’m sure someone on here will give some good advice.

Have you tried Compeed?

Well done though ! I have to run with two pairs of socks as am prone to blisters...maybe compeed will help. Have a great rest of your Sunday x

Compeed for treatment, then prevention!

Changing how you lace your trainers may help. There are a few articles on lacing techniques available on Google/ YouTube.
