Week 3 Run 1 completed

Feel great after stepping up to what seemed a big leap from Week 2 Run 3. However, my Wife and I started C25K at end of August!...should be well on our way to completing this by now, but with one thing or another, and repeating weeks, have only broken into Week 3. At our rate it will be C25K in 9 months!! 😫

That’s the good thing about this plan, you can do it in your own time!

Yes it is but just not sure if we are taking this a bit too relaxed, and need to up it a bit πŸ€”πŸ‘πŸ»

II would say just go at your own pace. If you can manage 3 times a week, that's great, but there's no actual need to do so, just got it in around your life. Before you know it, you'll be rearranging things to fit those runs in...

In this strange parallel universe we exist in as runners a "week" is simply an indeterminate number of days that it takes us to successfully complete a block of three runs. My longest "week" lasted 8 months due to a nasty tendonitis bout.

Far better to take longer to complete it than to simply not complete at all! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜‰ life does, and will, get in the way, just do what you can. 😁

Well done for keeping on making progress. Before I started C25K I just expected I'd be running 5Km within 9 weeks. Now I have started I now know that when I finish this programme I will be able to run for 30 minutes non-stop which will be a huge achievement as I struggled to last 2 x 60 seconds to start with. I don't care how long it takes me to reach that point or how far I travel in that 30 minutes, I will get there.

It will take as long as it takes. You are both out running and enjoying it. 😊😊

πŸ‘πŸ‘ no race here! Slow and steady, keep on keeping on, is all that counts! 🎈

That's awesome. Really well done.

Hey listen, does it matter if it takes 9 months?

Success is still success and you're still not sat on the couch.

Great stuff, keep it up

Cheers! Thanks for that! We’re both hoping for good results to get some fitness back and lose a few pounds πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ»
