Wasn’t feeling it today, down in the dumps for a variety of reasons and after a late night last night and a round of golf and a dog walk, I was feeling pretty tired too. However I kicked my own butt out of the house telling myself that if I couldn’t finish the 25 minutes it’d be good training anyway ...

So a couple of minutes in Jo suggests varying the route to add a bit of interest, so on the spur of the moment I decide to add an extra off road loop to my usual run ... very nice too, ran through some woods with a great display of snowdrops, and then back onto my normal route. So nice in fact I added the loop onto the end of my run too and ended up doing 28 minutes instead of 25!! It did surprise me that I had the energy to do that long today, but I was so pleased I made the effort to get out, it was a close call ... the pace was slow though but I’m telling myself that pace doesn’t matter, at least I finished it ✅

Onwards and upwards - hope all your runs go well this weekend 👍🏻
