So after not getting out for the last few days with the dreadful weather and then family life getting in the way I went out this morning and got the best bit of the day. It was sunny and quite warm and I really enjoyed it. Ime finding that it’s starting to get easier. Ime still ‘ listening ‘ to my body, feet in particular as have had achillies pain in the past so being very slow and careful. Ime now away for the next few days so do I go straight into w5r1 which excites me or do I stay on wk4?

You are very wise Lovemyrun on taking your time with your running, I hope the achilles pain has gone, As long as you are not off running for more than two weeks you can go on to week 5.

Thanku for that. Ime being so cautious at the moment, maybe at times a bit to much but ime just so happy to get back outside again. I had a little niggle last wk so with the weather being so bad I took the extra days of from running and everything was ok this mrng.

As it states in the guide to the plan, you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running, so just pick up where you left off.

I’m in the same boat. Got tendinitis and also just finished a stop start WK 4. ( that took me 3 weeks!) Planning on Wed to start W5 if my ankle not too sore tomorrow.

I’ve run a lot in the past but constantly getting injury’s which is why this time I’ve taken it right back to the start. My problem is I want to do to much to quickly so just get more injuries. Ime surprised that ime enjoying being told what to do but it’s almost like it’s taking the pressure of of me. Ime going to do 1 more run from wk 4 and then once Ime back from my holidays ile try wk5. Hopefully ur run will go well.
