Running in the wind

I was on my W5R3 today and it was the first time I couldn’t Finnish it. I found it nearly impossible to catch my breath in this wind. Anyone got any tips to stop me from blowing away ?!

Well done getting out there in the winds. There’re hard to run in and I tend to wait until the worst of it has gone. The run will have made you stronger though, probably more so than if it wasn’t windy, so you’re even better now for the next time out.

I check my weather app, and try to plan to run on the best weather days, choices are limited at the moment 💧🌊🌬🌪

I have been known to change my route during a run just to avoid the worst of it, but not always possible.

I wouldn't go outside running in extreme winds due to trees and branches coming down.

Sometimes you just have to take an extra rest day.

Avoid running if the wind is dangerously strong..otherwise weighted shoes😉

Great that you got out there. I'm looking forward to spring and an improvement in the weather. I haven't really done any mega windy runs, but I think I'm too heavy to get blown away. All muscle of course!
