Graduation Day for me!

That's it. Week nine complete!

Was a bit of a hard slog if I'm honest. I don't know why? My last couple of runs have been this way. I think I need an extra rest day. My legs have been niggling... BUT I STILL DID IT! So I am well happy about that! And it seems to have gone so fast too even though I took longer than the nine weeks!

My next run is Sunday which is going to be weird as my first fully fledged run! I'm not sure whether to use the app or just set my timer to ring at the half way point? Will see what happens!

Well done!

Much as I love Michael Johnson, I found running without him liberating. Give it a try - you're a big girl now!

Haha! I will certainly give it a try! Although I will miss the reminders that you only have 5 mins or 60 seconds left! But I think I will know roughly when I am coming back towards my starting point!

I think it was the lack of reminders that made the runs more pleasant - as I wasn't constantly anticipating him, I just kept running. But it's different for everyone!

Congratulations CrimsonMama on graduating and completing C25K, 😊 enjoy your celebrations 🎉, don't see any harm on using the app for your first post graduation fully pledged run on Sunday, however, if you wish to set the timer to ring at the half way point, that's your choice. 😊

Timer is more cos I leave the kids at home weekends... Or have a time slot to run in on week days so I need to know when to turn home to not be longer than 40 mins max.

Congratulations on graduation. Still seems so far off for me but seeing these posts are encouraging.

So now you've cracked the 5k run, have you got any plans fit what's next?

So far I'm doing 5k with the two 5 mins walks and 30 mins running. I will see if my fitness improves to go for the magic 5k with just the running. If not I am happy to just keep fit. I am thinking about doing a park run but it's difficult as it's early Saturday morning (9am) and the kids won't want to come with me. Plus I will be totally solo! So bit nervous! But I think I will get the courage eventually...

Otherwise it's just to enjoy, stay fit and try some new routes.

Well done you! I am starting week 9 tomorrow and know what you mean about slog! Also find it hard to fit it in with kids and work as it’s 40 mins now not 30! Let us know how your next run goes and be very proud of youxx

I will certainly post about my next run! And good luck for yours! It's so close for you now! I saw your post about your head telling you to stop! My brain is totally negative in the beginning telling me I am going to fail or can't do it but then is cheering me on after the half way point. It's a fickle beast!!

Lol I even tried doing a mind game to distract myself (A-Z of girls names or fruit) but if I distract myself from the run I run even slower!

It's something I'm still going to have to work on! But I'm hoping now I am not increasing minutes I can work on getting used to the current time span and maybe that will help?
