Yay, I have graduated! Never thought Id ever be able to run a full 30 minutes at the start of C25K - but now I am hooked and look forward to my 'run' days! Thanks to C25K I feel I am getting much fitter (although no weight loss) and I have a calmer mind - its very therapeutic running on your own, with only your own thoughts for company. I 'may' look to join a running club for one night per week, but I am enjoying my 'alone time' at the moment! Has anyone else joined a running club? I would be concerned that I couldn't keep up as I know Im not running very fast at the moment!
Graduated!: Yay, I have graduated! Never... - Couch to 5K
Graduated!
Congratulations Flay on graduating and completing week 9 run 3 of C25K ๐.
To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE ๐ next to your username leave a message on the February graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K ๐ ๐ ๐
There are some people who have joined running clubs who have graduated from C25K but as you enjoy running on your own perhaps you would find that a little uneasy, however, people who are members of running clubs welcome new members and when out running would put you at ease to run with other new members so that you would not be left behind.
You could contact a club and give it a try. ๐
Congratulations! It sure is a great feeling!
Congratulations! Most running clubs have beginners groups and also slower runners... thereโs only one way to find out! Most will welcome guests/prospective members for a session. Celebrate well and enjoy all your future running
Congratulations ๐พ๐๐๐๐that seems like a lifetime away for me but super excited to get there ๐๐๐๐
Congratulations Flay . Celebrate your graduation ๐.
A running club will divide runners into groups of the same ability. But some clubs are better for racers, and some are for people who run for fun. Most allow you to drop in for one evening before committing to joining them. Going to a local Parkrun gives you an idea of your local clubs too. I just love parkrun on Saturday and did that as my post grad celebration, starting with the 5 min walk and running 30 mins, then walking again until the finish line.
Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.
