You will! We all felt like that! Trust the program. Slow down and slow down again 👌🏽

Don’t let the gremlins get to you. Doesn’t matter how slow you run just keep going and you will get there. This plan definitely works. Get out of your front door and keep on running. 😊

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... It explains the pace at which you should be jogging and many other things.

If you cannot talk clearly as you run, then you are going too fast.

Once you settle at this pace, you will be able to cope with each run as it happens, but don't look ahead of it worries you.

You can do this.

Relax and enjoy the journey.

Well... if it helps I found it difficult in week 1 run 1... and I’ve run 48 minute runs since.

You can do it. You won’t love all runs, but they all love you. They all make you stronger, fitter, healthier and a better runner. When I struggled on that first run I nearly smashed my phone up in frustration... I nearly quit and never came back. 30 minutes was absolutely impossible. I remembered my grandad telling me when I met the impossible, it was time to work. Those words came to me on my cooldown walk and I knew that was exactly where I was in that moment... facing the impossible... then it became challenging... now 30 minutes is pretty easy. I’m nothing special, you can do this too.

All you have to do to beat this goal is to keep coming to the start line and trying. A run may prove too much one day... no matter... it’ll be there again another day. Every time you cross the start line you win. Today you do what others won’t do... so that one day you can do what they can’t.

Difficult isn’t a negative thing... difficult builds you physically and mentally. You’ll be so proud when you do run 5 minutes... and then you’ll be amazed when you run 20... and emotional when you run your 3rd 30... but none of it has to be easy... you’re doing great right now... it becomes easier over time... you can achieve anything. Start to believe you are awesome, and that will allow you to be amazed at the fact that you are.

Happy running.

Love this UFNM - I felt like Rocky running up those stairs to the eye of the tiger after reading this post. When I meet the impossible it’s time to work - after a particularly difficult day at work today this analogy is just the ticket!

And you ran too... how awesome are you?

My grandfather taught me so much early in life and some of it didn’t make sense until after he’d gone... clever old bugger he was 😂

Check out the link posted by @Iannoda Truffe. It got me off to a good start & I’ve returned to it several times to follow its links to other posts. And I was amazed at how slowly one could run and still be runnng; as long as you keep that running action with a moment in each stride when both feet are off the ground, it’s still running. That’s got me through some sticky moments! Enjoy! 😊🎉

Hey, if you got to week 2 before starting to struggle you’re already doing better than me ! If it hurts, slow down. If you’re anxious, slow down. And if the Voices get at you, remind them they were lying when they said you couldn’t do week 1 ! Relax and enjoy your journey x
