First crappy run 🙁

Guess it had to happen, did W4, R2 this morning and for the first time just wasn’t really feeling it and found it really hard going. Then a woman who’s obviously an established runner overtook me and at first I felt poop, then pulled myself together and saw her as an inspiration for what I may be able to achieve if I stick with it! Just don’t want it to put me off my next run. On the plus side, it looked pretty magical out!

It happens. Some runs are like that and you have to dig a bit deeper. A bit like life, really. There could be a reason for it that you figure out, or it might be just one of those runs.

What a stunning landscape - would you have been on that path and seen that scene if you weren’t running? Well done, you have added stamina not only to your legs but also to your mental strength today 🙂

Thank you for your reply 😊 Think I was tired to start with and I’m still tired (normally a run wakes me up!). Next run is Saturday so will make sure I’m proper rested before then.

I was doing my 5 min walk at the end in a loop so I could take photos after I’d finished! Upwards and onwards!

Gorgeous. I am hoping the weather is like it was today for my run tomorrow morning - I am planning to grab my decent camera and walk the loop again to take pictures if it is.

Yes, tiredness can do it. The good thing is, when you next have a good, or great run, you will feel even more fantastic than usual.

Snap - and same run too. But that was the half-way run so we are on the home stretch now! And, yes, that was awfully pretty. :)

Snap indeed! I found the first run easier! A couple of early nights on the cards then Saturday bring it on! Thinking of changing my route too as felt a bit bored today for the first time also.

We all have tough runs but we also have good easier runs too. The best thing is that you still finished the hard run this will help you in the long run.

Don’t be put off your next run, slow down a bit if you are finding it hard and you will get through it. 😊

I know it sounds weird but for the first time I think I was bored! I didn’t get particularly warm either. I know it was minus 1 but I normally get pretty warm! Ah well, Saturday is a new day, new run!

Go for it. 😊

Great job. Beating that tough run means you can beat the next tough one that comes along and also you got to demonstrate how mentally tough you are. We all get days where it doesn’t feel great, sometimes it just plain sucks, but those runs build us just as much as the wonderful comfortable ones, if not more. They’re also usually followed by a much smoother one. Enjoy that run 3
