Does the music make you smile?

W3 was definitely ladies week, with a beyonce-esq last run, and week 4 had a definite 80's vibe, with the first run being a Frankie goes to Hollywood two tribes cover, with later on a Howard Jones. Strangely W4's last run seems to be the type of music used in Match of the Day for the goals montage. Anyone else feel this or is it just me?

when you get to week 9 the last full running song is very upbeat/reggae & this one is probably my favourite of all the music. & the "hills & the trees la la la from week 3 or 4 is very "happy", plus the "julie" song...

Hills and trees is week 3. Gutted it's not going to appear again.

I've really loved the music on these podcasts and really wish NHS would release it as a CD so I can relive my favourite tracks once I finish the programme. My fave is probably 'beautiful day' which I loved early on and really miss on my early morning runs.

there is one later about "You and Julie" which is a corker!

I'm with Shelleymcb on this one. My favourite so far is the last full running song on week 9. It had a really good effect, lifting my spirits to complete those last few minutes. I was disappointed with the slower tempo of the next one, almost causing a bit of an anticlimax. I want a fanfare when I finish this and have been wondering which piece of music/song I would love to hear as my celebration track on Saturday.

Just wanted to add that there was a track near the end of week 4 when I was totally exhausted that had a beat that seemed to operate my legs, it was really awful, not the music but the effect on my legs. It was making my legs move with the beat but my legs didn't want to. If you know what one I mean you will have an idea of how slowly I was running :)

I think that's the one which I refer to as the MOTD goal montage. Got my feet moving faster! :).

I have only done one run, but I was smiling to myself every the music to run to came on. And I really loved the song at the very end of week 1 that began 'I believe in the light i've seen and the light of endless summer days' Very uplifting!! It was perfect.

I would love to see a tracklisting somewhere!!

Some 'motivational' lyrics;

'It makes me go red'

'both feet on the ground, but my head is spinning around'

'so easy, not so easy now'

'The moment I woke, I heared the rain come down'

'the truth is, I'm trying not to lose hope'

'what's gonna happen when it falls apart'

Ahem....
