Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
It is the impact of running that causes most new runner's aches and pains, so do all you can to minimise it.
Slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.
Stretching after every run will also help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi and thanks for that. I'll give running on the grass a go

Well done it’s a good feeling to get past week 1 !
Not had knee pain but had weird clicking knee for a bit , maybe that was my body creaking into action slowly 😆
Good luck !
