Slightly disappointed

On W2 R2 and so far I’ve looked forward to the morning run and have been buzzing when I got home.

This morning I didn’t feel like it and ran my worst time ever..... no buzz after, just feel deflated! Let’s hope the next ones better

Well done... some runs feel like that... maybe you are slightly under par...slept uneasily, maybe even a bug!

You ran.... and these mornings it is hard.. dark and often damp or cold starts...:)

So.. a warm shower.. and know that each run is making you stronger.... they are building up to he lovely longer runs.. and as the days stretch out... there is more to see and more to absorb as you cruise along!

I like your use of the phrase « lovely longer runs ». At this moment in time anything longer doesn’t sound lovely 😂 Roll on the light mornings 👍

Those runs are known as practice runs. Yep, we’ve all been there.

It happens, we all have “those” runs but by goodness the better ones make up for them. Don’t be too hard on yourself, just accept that’s how you feel about that run but the next one will be better and you will get that buzz back

Thanks! The comments are certainly making me feel better and putting a smile on my face 😀

Sometimes we have bad runs. We don’t really know why. The good thing is that you did it!! Try to see past today and get into a positive mindset for the next run. You’re 2 weeks in and doing great. Keep up the good work x

At W2D2 there "should" be no such thing as "time" - the object of the three Week 2 runs is not to improve time for each day or to even feel "better" but to simply complete the task. The only "failure" is if you fail to complete the task - if you are able to at any pace, the task is completed and successful :)

When you start out a bad run can feel catastrophic but over time you will find that there are bad runs and good runs. Don't let this put you off, its all part of this running game :)

The most important thing is that you got out and did the thing. I think it's OK not to feel so good, as long as you do not let this discourage you from getting on with the next run. good luck :)

I do parkrun last week I walked most of it, this week I had my best time , my legs were so heavy last week

It’s all a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Some are great. Some seem to drag on forever. This is my experience anyway. I do seem to always feel better after doing it though. Always look to the next one!!
