W5R1 and feeling good but that’s not how it started!

So did the final week 4 run on Monday. It was supposed to be On Saturday but due to family commitments I couldn’t do it on the weekend. I was looking forward to it and thought the extra couple of days rest would help. But no ! The run was terrible I felt there was no way I could make it. I struggled through but was shocked at how bad I felt.

I did w5r1 tonight and I was scared after Monday’s experience and I had been to the gym

On Tuesday so my legs were sore. I really didn’t want to do it but I forced myself and it was a totally different experience. I felt ok and at the end of each run segment I felt I could keep going. The happiness I felt when the coach said “ You ran 15 minutes tonight - I bet you thought you could never do that a few weeks ago “ 😀

Moral of this story

- get out no matter how many excuses you can find not too

- runs don’t always go the way you think but over time you are getting better

Brilliant. Well done you. I’m trying to keep motivated and starting to enjoy it now too. Some days I seem better than others!!

Nice work... like everything else in life not all runs feel the same... but they all serve a purpose. Enjoy run 2.
