So did the final week 4 run on Monday. It was supposed to be On Saturday but due to family commitments I couldn’t do it on the weekend. I was looking forward to it and thought the extra couple of days rest would help. But no ! The run was terrible I felt there was no way I could make it. I struggled through but was shocked at how bad I felt.
I did w5r1 tonight and I was scared after Monday’s experience and I had been to the gym
On Tuesday so my legs were sore. I really didn’t want to do it but I forced myself and it was a totally different experience. I felt ok and at the end of each run segment I felt I could keep going. The happiness I felt when the coach said “ You ran 15 minutes tonight - I bet you thought you could never do that a few weeks ago “ 😀
Moral of this story
- get out no matter how many excuses you can find not too
- runs don’t always go the way you think but over time you are getting better
