Morning all! This isn't really a running post, but I think you wonderful and wise people may be able to help me...
I've just finished my hour long walk this morning, walking to and from my daughters School. Feeling pretty good, but very tired now!
It's a pretty hard walk, most of it is an off road track through the fields. It's all loose gravel and mud. It was raining last night and the mud was very slippy this morning and I nearly fell over.
I'm looking to invest in some wellies just for the walk, but I usually have to get the wider sized shoes.
So, does anyone have any recommendations of wellies? I don't mind the length of them, but they have to have good grip! And preferably durable as I do this walk twice a day!

Good old fashioned Dunlops come up quite wide and also roomy round the calf area and are reasonably priced- or you can spend a fortune on posher brands - Hunters seem to be popular....
Probably better to ask around locally. Walking boots often give better grip than wellies, but that has to be balanced against the depth of the mud ! Hope you find the right thing soon 😀
Thanks ButtercupKid ! It rained last night and then froze, the mud was a death trap this morning! Even parents wearing wellies and walking boots were slipping! I'm at a loss
