Still having problems with my knee, l did 1st run of wk 6 and managed to finish even though l had a slight twinge in left knee, left it a few days before doing 2nd run but all went wrong my phone died half way through 2nd 10 min run then knee started hurting so just walked back home. Unsure what to do now!

I’m having a similar problem although earlier on than you at the mo. Just completed 2nd run of week 2 and after 1st run of this week my knee was agony and swelled up the next day. I left two days in between until doing this morning but it was so painful. Being me, I took some ibuprofen 30 minutes before and stupidly ran through the pain and I’m suffering now! Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
you will get really good advice from everyone here. I am still a newbie but I think you did exactly the right thing by stopping and walking back as pain means somethings not quite right. It’s really hard to know when it’s just a niggle or something more. I had a week off at week 7 and used rest, ice and elevation which helped and it settled down.
Think l may look at getting some proper running shoes I’m running in trainers so perhaps need some more support on impact. Will rest it for a few days and see how l get on.
