W4R1 ... freezing 🥶

Just got back from W4R1 ..went ok actually, surprised myself. I got a 2nd lease of life for the 2nd half which felt great. I think my biggest challenge was keeping my fingers alive. Even though I run in gloves they were totally numb. consequently I dropped my water bottle, the lid flew off and my water spilt everywhere 🤦‍♀️..think I’m going to get some of those hand warmers for my next run.

I generally look like I’m off on an arctic expedition than a run at the moment lol 😂

I’d ditch the water bottle too. Could make your hands feel even colder and not really necessary on a short run when it is as cold as this.

I'm with lousylungs on this.

You don't need the water.

Just make sure that you are well hydrated the day before you run, and on the day you run, as it seems you run in the afternoon.

I run first thing in the morning and don't have anything before I go out.

I find that long sleeved running top and a jacket with thumb holes helpful, and only occasionally resort to gloves. Enjoy the programme 🤩

I’d third the above... water stays cold! If you’re hydrated going in to a run you don’t need water for at least 30 minutes. Sip water all day every day and then leave it at home.

Not what you're looking for?
