Run 1 Week 1

Littlemisssunshine73 profile image

I’ve started couch to 5k again, as I need to get healthier. I’ve also entered Brighton marathon which is on the 12th April 😬 I’ve been suffering with plantar fasciitis and recently had electro shockwave treatment. This is run 1 of week 1 😊

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

If you are intending to do a full marathon in four months time, then I think you have left it a bit too late to start training from scratch. With such ambition, I would recommend that you invest in some serious running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop in the very near future, especially with a history of pf.

Take care and enjoy your journey.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve ran Royal Parks Half Marathon before and I’ve had my gait analysed. I think I’m going to have to run/walk Brighton due to my injuries.
