Just completed my second run, took the dog, put a podcast on & ran to the dulcet tones of Sarah Millican! (Who even am I!) I’m the most un-athletic person I know & at some points the end of the 30 minutes seemed a lifetime away but, I did it and feel so much better for it
(Ps the dog is not coming next time, he’s too sociable and I don’t think the old dears taking their dogs for a potter appreciated me not having time to “talk dog” with them 🤣)

Welcome and well done... the early runs are a challenge as you get used to the routine and find your pace. You’ve made the hardest steps and you can do this.
Hi UnfitNoMore, I hope you and MISS UNM enjoyed your Christmas / Yuletide holidays, I had a wonderful time. This morning I set out for a 12 kilometre walk to a local beauty spot, it took me 75 minutes to get there walking at a brisk pace but on the way back after seeing several runners I couldn't resist the temptation to have a little running as well, so 75 minutes to get to where I was going and 55 minutes to get back home. I hope you all have a good time at the New Year 🎉.
Nice walk and run... I’m jealous... but I’m ready to run 1.5 miles next time out.
Had a great time but have spent the last few days polluting the planet driving up and down the country visiting family and friends. Got back late last night and up early for junior parkrun for the most ridiculous tailwalking session yet!
Well done to you Pipp_T on completing your second run with your dog. The old dears with their dogs may think "what's the hurry" when you run past them without your dog the next time you do run 3,.
Well done. Being “un-athletic” is very much where I started. That is just choice, not a given. You are choosing to get fitter and doing it in a sensible way. The bug will bite you and soon you’ll wonder how you managed to live without running. Leaving the dog behind is a warning sign! Enjoy your next run.
