Hello everyone just finished day 2 it was really hard wondering if anyone has any tips on breathing techniques. Really want to complete this programme this time. I have got to wk 5 in the past but due to injuries packed it in. Any useful tips much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on breathing.

Enjoy your journey.

I go swimming once a week, doing this has really helped me with my breathing. Maybe you need to run a bit slower.

Hi I used to really struggle with my breathing I thought I might have to stop running but I found singing helped me so much as it gave me something else to focus on. Good luck I’m sure you will be fine 😊

I used to practice my breathing while still warming up, in through the nose and out through the mouth. I found if I focused on it before the run it really helped. If you are still struggling maybe slow down a bit. I sulked at how slow I felt I was going but it's important to get that breathing right. I hope that helps.
