I run with my dog too, sometimes with the lead, and it is a lot of fun. They soon get the hang of it although stopping for poo picking/lamppost watering is a pain. When my dog sees someone he likes (or a cat) I get a turbo boost

Aw clever pup! Enjoy your runs together! Quick tip - jog on spot or back and forth while doggy sniffs/wees/poops - it is difficult to maintain the momentum while you are actually scooping the poop but you will bring a smile to the face of passers-by! 😁🏃🐕
