I just wanted to update you on where I am with this. I now have about 17kms to run and my very last run will be on Christmas Eve at The Buckingham Palace entrance to St James’s Park at 10am. Mr JCR will be in attendance although not running (he has a good excuse, a broken back - so he can't run).
I’m going to do a gentle 5kms, no speedy Gonzales stuff and if any of you are in London with running kit and would like to join me for my last leg, I’d love to see you.
Alzheimers Research UK asked me if I could do one final push in fund raising, so if any of you are up for a gentle pootle on Christmas Eve and would be happy to ‘pay’ for the somewhat dubious privilege of running with me, then my donation link is here:-
Many have donated already, so it’s not compulsory - frankly I’d just love to meet some of you!
We’ll bring some goodies to finish the run, and truthfully I can’t think of a nicer way for me to finish the challenge, than to run with a bunch of C25kers who have stood by me since my very first C25K run.
It’s been a privilege to do the challenge, and if you can’t physically run with me in London, then maybe we can run virtually together, so Mummycav if Bevlar Bridge is on your radar on Christmas Eve morning, or Razouski if you are running some crazy, crazy distance, then I consider we are running together.
I will be wearing running kit with an Alzheimer’s Research running buff and teeshirt in bright orange, so quite hard to miss...
The sträva route is public and available here - 2 loops of the park -
Oh Gill that would be absolutely fabulous - my first real-life running buddy. Mr JCR has promised bubbles and he can be a coat carrier, and if you needed a shower etc., you can come back to ours....
Either way, you know I appreciate your support - whether you can be here or not, you inspired me early on and kept me going...
Oh no. One of my familiar stretches and but can’t make it..... What a great route to complete your massive challenge and looking back, your achievement has been remarkable, brave and heartwarming - well done, Jan! Do it in style, go head first through the hordes of tourists, make it big!
Thanks Irishprincess , as we are starting out near your British Royalty friends on Christmas Eve, your best wishes will support me around that park. A Happy and peaceful Christmas to you too... Bring on 2019
I'll be there in spirit and setting off at 10am in North Yorkshire for a steady 5k. Enjoy the run and a massive well done for this achievement.....I wonder what you will do in 2019?

Hi Hidden thanks for being a running buddy in spirit on the final run and for all the support during the year
I have a slight hankering to do either dancing or boxing!
You are so totally amazing! Wish I could be in London to join you, but will have to make do with running virtually with you, at roughly the same time, out here in Berkshire... Have a wonderful Christmas & enjoy your achievement - it's fabulous!
So looking forward to joining you tomorrow. I've written about it on my Facebook page with a link to your fundraising page, so hoping one or two of my friends might put a few pennies in the coffers too.
Now to get my kit ready for tomorrow to ensure there is minimal faffage. x x x
Faffage a big issue for me too... See you tomorrow, we will have fun, but I do have two poorly little toes, that are very sore. Runnerchondria strikes at the eleventh hour....
Bubbles will be packed for us to drink post run...
And thank you for putting your link on my page what a lovely thing to do. Looking forward to it. Xxx
Now the apres-run was a total blast... Razouski accosting an unsuspecting policeman to tell him I’d just finished my challenge, was a sight to behold. The bubbles were fab, but the friendship of my C25K buddies was what got me this far!
Brilliant Mimirossi I am so lucky that so many supported me this morning. 5km done, with Razouski in person and we had the bubbles as promised. What a fab Christmas Eve thing to do - I’m thinking I may have created a new tradition for myself ...
