Week 6 completed. The cool down walk was more a slumped crawl tbf. Still, I did it so yey me. I just wish I could say I’m enjoying it. Every run of wk6 has been a struggle, hoping wk7 is better

Ive just completed week 6 run 1. I cant remember what week it was but it was the week where you ran 90 secs then walked for a similar time. I never finished on time and even struggled during the runs. And ended uo walking most of that week. On the last day my far fitter husband came out and he came running up to me and i was so cross another day if not completing the run on time. I felt like i couldnt go onto the next week. Then my husband looked at my time and said i was going far too fast. I learnt that i needed to pace myself wasnt about the distance but getting back in time. He also convinced me to move onto the next week which im so glad i did cause i found it easier. Is there anything you can pinpoint that is making it harder for you is it speed. Dont worry though you just ran for 25 mins (csnt remember thr exact time of the run ill have to complete in a few days) your doing brilliantly and however hard you found it remember it was still q good run because you ran it and didnt give up.

Thanks x I forgot to activate strava so unsure as to pace. I slowed it right down on 6:2 cos I’d struggled with 6:1 but didn’t make any difference. Checked past runs that I had no real problems with and decided 8m per km was ideal pace but then again they were shorter runs? Also I thought poss problems with weekday runs were the dark and not being sure where I was putting my feet. Anyway it’s done now. On to wk7. Ordered shock absorbers insoles and a head torch for weekday runs so see how next week goes x

Ohh yes the thr dark evenings can make a difference i try to go out in the day light as i find evening runs harder. Dont fret week 7 will be brilliant week 6 was just your block week. Congrats on completing week 6!!!! Just look at how far you have come ans find the positives. 6 weeks ago you wouldnt be running for as long as you just did.

I found Week7 better. Just remind yourself that you are 2/3rds completed.

Only 1/3rd to go! 😸

Great job. Week 7 is a consolidation of where you are so you should find it a little easier and you’ll be stronger for the final push. Enjoy.
