W1 R2 - I can do this?

Just did my second run today. Legs are feeling the ache, getting out of breath but it’s not as hard as I’d expected considering I’m a couch potato. I’ve always feared exercise, but it has this weird way of making you feel good even if it’s tough? Excited to hopefully get further, just hoping I don’t lose this buzz! ><

Welcome!

Read your bio too... of course you deserve better... well done making the decision to treat yourself well, and great job getting the first two runs done. Don’t be afraid to slow down to get through a run... it’s not all about speed. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the next run just as much. Oh... and you can do this whole thing... enjoy the journey.

First week is the worst, because you never know how you’re going to do it. It’s a blast and I like many others on here, never imagined how it would be so life changing.

Good luck for your upcoming runs.

Hi and well done - like your bio too. Take some time to read some posts on here, and they will inspire you. Also, don't be disappointed if your friends and family don't get it. If you ever feel down, just pop a post on here and the members will surely make you feel better. Look forward to seeing more posts. Best of luck with the journey.

Well done you! I struggled with some discomfort / mild pain in my legs and knees the first few weeks too. That soon goes and before you’ve even realised it you’ll feel great after and even during your run! Honestly wouldn’t have believed it myself. Just about to start Week 8. Had a couple of stalls this week due to work commitments and Ive actually been cross at missing my runs. Couldn’t have imagined that 8 weeks ago! Keep going and letting us know about your progress : )
