It begins today!

So, I stopped smoking 29 days ago and have been awake through the night thinking how can I put my new lungs to good use and stumbled across the 5k app

Seems like a great concept, a great way for me to save a bit of cash, shift a bit of weight and hopefully catch the running bug that a lot of people on here seem to have caught

Just off for the first run, good luck to all who have taken this on

Congratulations Jay9383 for quitting smoking, certainly you will save a lot of money, not sure what the price is of a 20 pack of cigarettes is now, I think about a tenner? I hope you enjoy your running journey with C25K, take all your runs slow and steady, good luck. 👍 🏃

You also have to think about what you are going to do with all that money you will save by ceasing smoking :)

Well done, keep it up. I gave up 3 months ago. I’ve just completed w2r2. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s not easy, yes I’ve had to repeat a week 1 run, but I actually feel fitter both physically and mentally.

Just got back and feel brilliant for having got out of bed and ran

It’s freezing and slinging it down which was brilliant to run in

Could massively feel the difference in my lungs compared to when I tried to run whilst smoking which gives me a bit of drive to push myself further

Think I’m gonna quite enjoy this

Feels good to have ‘laura’ giving you a bit of chat along the way as well on the app, although I think I’ll have a few choice words for her at some point

She's used to it. Been doing that for the past six weeks. Well done.
