Worth waiting for ...

Had to go gentle with myself in getting a bit further on. Did W7R3 only last Monday with some misgivings about circumstances having meant that there’s been a week’s gap (although I have been being differently active since the last run). I thought I’d just go for it and see how it felt: if all good I’d move on; if not I’d stick at 25min runs until I felt ready to progress. But all good - felt fine, tested myself running a little further at the end and put in a couple or three little sprints when it seemed like a good plan. Rather chuffed all in all - W8 here we come!

It will be tomorrow all being well. Yesterday I played at bouldering on a local climbing wall and made the best of morris practice last night, so I’ve designated today as rest day and tomorrow as W8R1!

Will report back after I get that one under my belt! I see W9R3 in the not too far distance - who’d have thought it 😁

Great job. Sometimes the breaks do us a lot of good. Enjoy week 8... and that podium drawing closer.

I’ve noticed this and it’s really helped with my confidence in working through the programme. Even if I’m not able to run as often as would be exactly conventional, I am doing other things too and the stamina etc one builds up doesn’t vanish overnight - or so it seems for me.

Indeed... from what I’ve read progress is achievable on 2 runs a week, so as long as the gaps don’t get to big it’s all good and other exercise helps a lot with strengthening and flexibility too.

Excellent job 👍

I had a great Wk8R1 Monday, R2 tomorrow but not feeling as confident as tired and feeling off par, but I'll give it a go and see how it goes... Might be just what I need.

Enjoy Wk 8 and keep us posted 👏

Giving it a go is the only way I reckon - I’ve had a few where I’ve had to take notice of how I feel at the beginning and keep it gentle at least for a bit. Mind I’ve also found in such runs I’ve felt much better once I have got going and felt all the better when I finish it.

All the best for your next one!

Quite - but maybe not so much in winter weather 😉

Oh yes.. winter weather even more so... The Roaches in December,, and scaling a frozen Kinder Downfall...bliss!!! Those were the days!

Don’t quite fancy that extreme myself - I’ve long tended to fine weather climbing - the joys of a sun-kissed slab!

You will have realised by now that it’s not my number 1 game 😉
