I know I said December but it just sneaked up on me honest guv. In fact I was so distracted by it that I’ve just managed all the runs in week 2 without thinking about them 😄 The tune is “Winter Wonderland” Don’t forget the obligatory jazz hands on the final repeat !
Sleigh bells ring,
Are you listening ?
In the lane
Mud is glistening,
It’s murky tonight
But we’ll be all right
Jogging in a winter wonderland.
In hi-viz
And our trainers
We can leave
The complainers
Nodding off by the tree:
We’re happy and free
Jogging in a winter wonderland.
We’ll get so warm
That we won’t need a hat on
As we jog along past Parson Brown.
Then we’ll see he’s put
A little fat on -
Hey ! He could jog with us
When he’s in town !
Later on
We’ll perspire
As we re-hydrate
By the fire,
Coz C25k
Just makes you that way,
Jogging in a winter wonderland
(A winter wonder)
Jogging in a winter wonderland
(We’re way past walking)
Jogging in a winter wonderland !

Buttercups are my favourite flowers, born survivors, always showing a sunny face even when they’ve just been through the mower. And kid because I act like one most of the time ! I’m glad you enjoy the wee poems. They’re fun to make up and if they help people smile now and then, that’s perfect.
Thank you for your reply BCK, I fully agree with you about having a sunny face, as for the kid part, well it's nice to stay young at heart. I certainly enjoy the wee poems, in fact, it's now almost ten to eleven at night, I am off to bed now singing to myself that latest one about jogging in a winter wonderland, good night.
I had a very good sleep and just woke up at 5 am today Tuesday 27 November. Tuesday is my main shopping day, good morning, exactly 4 weeks to Xmas 🎄 day.
I have always been an early bird BCK. When I was a boy I got up early and went a bicycle ride at 7.30 am. I have avoided those manic Christmas shoppers by doing my Xmas shopping first thing in the morning on a Monday, for example, I was in a very large toy shop in Glasgow at 9.15 am and was the only customer in it, that way I asked the assistant to advise me what toys and presents were best for my two grandchildren aged 4 and 6, that would have been difficult to do if the store had been mobbed with manic Xmas shoppers.
I am not thinking at the moment of running any further 5K's although there are two of those Santa 5K dash runs near to where I live both this Sunday (Cumbernauld) and the following Sunday (Glasgow) I am going to both.... 🙄to cheer the runners on, anyway I was thinking of rerunning weeks 5 and 6 over the next few weeks just to keep my legs in running mode, I hope you are well. 😊 🏃
Oh that’s superb. I was singing along just groovy 😁.
Yep, running at Christmas time is ace I am going up knob hill one evening nearer Christmas to see the decs of the posh houses. It’s a must-see for me 😁 🎄
I like a jog on Boxing Day when I run along a line of parked cars queueing for miles to get to the B & Q sale. Are they mad do you suppose 🤷♀️
😁. It’s great to be out running off the festive stodge, wearing new running duds gratefully received 🎅
Yes, very well thank you Buttercup! I joined Ju-Ju's 10K plan on a bit of a whim after graduation, very glad I did, I'm really enjoying it. So posting runs in the bridge forum but commenting in both - Getting the best of both forums 😁I've seen that you've been getting your jog on too, that's great - keep up the good work Buttercup 🎄
I love this, well done on the runs. When you repeat this week you’ll smash it and be heading towards week 3!! If I’m correct you will have done it in 5 not the 6 you were aiming for...that’s worth celebrating 🎉🎉🎉
Yaayyyy well done, maths was never my strong point at school....not as bad as pe though. I think I had everything under the sun to get out of pe...including notes written by me!! Oops lol
