OK, I am running 3 times a week at 5k and all is good, or so I thought. I have now developed a sore hip, what's that all about? has my running technique led to this? is this a well known sympton? happy for advice.

That’s difficult to answer without seeing you run!

A physio may be able to help... maybe a few rest days will do just as well for the first time. I’d take a few days and see if the issue came back.

I had what I thought was a hip problem. Eventually I paid to see a sports physio as it wasn't going away. She 'diagnosed' inactive glutes, particularly on the one side. They said I could carry on running but I was given lots of glute strengthening exercises. It did go away and it hasn't reappeared (yet at least). The physio visit was well worth it for me. Good to identify any underlying weaknesses as early as possible.

Good luck - it's really frustrating having issues like this.
