Frustrated! :( Boo Hoo!

Since my 'Euphoric' w9r3 a couple of weeks ago, I've had to reduce my runs....boo hoo. From wk 6r3 after each run I experienced a tightness across my chest chest and felt out of breath even when I wasn't, so I went to docs expecting her to tell me that it was due to pollen or something, but instead I have to go to the chest pain clinic and run on a treadmill there to find out what the pains are. Since I have reduced the time I run from 35mins ish to 20 ish I haven't had the pains as bad so now I feel a fraud! My hubby says i still have to go and get checked over to be on the safe side though. I feel so frustrated now though, my goals of increasing my time and distance and doing a 5k park run seem to be slipping away........... Still its best to be sure isn't it, can't wait to be back to normal though!

Hubby is spot on right!!! You must go and get this checked, even if you only do so to put his mind at rest. Can't have him worrying every time you go out, that's just not fair! There will be plenty of time in the future to increase time and distance providing you listen to the doctors, and do as they say. Hope all goes well :-)

I know you are right and common sense will prevail. If I'm honest with myself, its that I'm a bit scared and don't want to think of possible causes though I'm sure all will be fine.

You're definitely not a fraud, and you & hubby are right- it is best to get it checked.

If it's nothing, great. If it's something, it can be treated. Either way, you'll be back to running with confidence. Good luck :)

Thanks, yes, I'm sure I'll be fine and I can't ignore things like chest pains even though it is scary to think about. I was really enjoying the running, but I will take it easy in the meantime then I will be ok to carry on. I should have posted before as all you good folk are full of common sense:)

Hi there well done on your graduation - sorry to hear about your chest pains. I agree you should definitely get it checked out - will be reassuring to find out that it's hopefully nothing or can be treated easily and then I'm sure you'll be back stronger and raring to go! Best of luck to you 🍀🍀🍀

Thanks, at least I don't have to wait long as I go to get checked next week. All being well I'll be back running as normal very soon. Gosh, did I say that... it was only about 12 weeks ago I couldn't run!
