When you go places by car or bike you don’t particularly notice slopes. Start running and you sense every incline - up or down. I ran a new route for W4R1 yesterday and what I thought was flat was full of slopes - including an up hill slope towards the end of the first 5 minute jog!
Surprisingly I didn’t feel tired after this run like I did the previous weeks and the leg muscle problems have gone so the programme is working 🙂. Unfortunately the Yodel delivery bloke saw me cooling off in my underwear through the front room window - I had to apologise for scarring him for life as he looked too young to have ever seen Onslow on “Keeping up appearances”!
I know what you mean about the slopes/hills. I try to avoid as much as possible. You made me laugh about cooling off. That’s what I do strip off in kitchen, running gear straight in washer then quick run to the shower hopefully without anyone seeing me 😂
I know what you mean about the slopes, its hilly where I live, I'm used to it, but even the flat bits are not flat when you're running. Poor driver, he'll learn to keep his eyes averted outside people bouses. I changed to a different running top when it got colder and realised, twice, that it had ridden right up to bare my midriff to all the farm workers and neighbours that I had run past, smiling. Ha ha ( its now fixed down with 2 safety pins.).
