So I am so up for the rest day between runs but does anyone start wk2 say one day after w1r3 so less than a week from starting but still a rest day in between? Are there pros and cons?

I started on a 7 day week, then switched to a six day (running every other day). No real difference, but sometimes the extra rest day can help you turn up for the next run a little fresher and the run is easier.

This is covered in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

As long as you maintain the rest days, then fit the runs any way you can.

I ran on alternate days for the majority of the programme.

Hi. I'run every other day so far (now doing week 7) with no niggles. The rest day is most important to help recovery but just as important is good running shoes from a place that checks your gait. If you're fortunate you run correctly but if not you could have painful problems. Also don't run with heal first but otherwise obey Laura
