Hello all. I started this app 2 weeks ago and so far so good, using it in conjunction with daily gym visits I have now dropped from 17st down to 15st 10lb. Let's face it I had it to loose.

As a professional chef I am very aware that the fuel I use is just as important and the exercise I do. And that's the issue for me. My job is my hobby, I simply love food and more to the point strong flavours and interesting combinations. To have taken the decision to remove dairy, gluten and starchy carbs from my diet quite simply spoils my fun.

The other issue I'm finding is that after working out I'm wanting food imediatly.... And two weeks ago that would have meant loading the list eat app and calling one of Edinburgh's fine selection of take away joints..... Hmmmmm what to do?

My saviour has been the discovery of healthy frozen vegetable and pulse combos in my local Aldi (I'm sure that other supermarkets do them too). These bases cook very quickly without using and oil in less than 5 mins I can have a healthy and tasty meal. I thought I would post some of the dishes I've come up with for anyone who is interested so hear goes.

150g of freshona brown lentil and coconut vegetable mix.

50g broccoli cooked

50g french beans trimmed and cooked

100g frozen seafood mix

2 table spoons dark soya sauce

1tsp chilli flakes.

And that's it just chuck it all in a pan and heat up. Tastes great. I'm not calorie counting anything I post it's really just to share what's working for me.

Cheers for reading

You’re not being sponsored, are you ?!! Great to have some tips on healthy eating. This is a fitness programme, not a weight loss one, but a lot of us are trying to lose a bit too, so every little helps. As they say at another supermarket !

No. Not sponsored. That's the supermarket next door. Will try to make sure I source ideas from a variety of stores

Don’t worry too much - I was joking ! Besides, if we can’t get an exact item we can improvise.
