First of all: BIG THANKS to all you, fellow runners! I finally got my silver Graduate tag by my alias now and I would never have done it without you!! I started C25K with a big question mark in my head and got more and more confident that I could do it by reading all the stories of your good and bad runs. You are the best company anyone can get for this journey, thanks 🙏!!
Today I went for my first post-grad run. It should have happened yesterday but I am still a chicken🐥 when it rains a lot! I decided to try steppingstones as I felt I would me missing Laura. Supposed to be running following the increasing beat over time. I thought I was doing pretty well but looking at the app after the run, it turned out to be I actually slowed down 😵😬! I have always been better at keeping in tune than at following the beat in my musical attempts, so no big surprise!!!! 🤣🤣
I guess I will give it another try on Tuesday and see whether my legs and breath get better at it!!

Keep at it - and perhaps trust yourself a bit more? Not sure what 'steppingstones' is, but seems no point to me to taking a backwards step, if you have found 'your' pace, then why not just set 30 mins on your watch or phone or whatever, slap your tunes on and go and enjoy yourself! :o) If running to a beat doesn't suit, then don't do it - trust your body and your own rhythm, it's worked for you so far! :o)
Hi Boofle999, thanks for the advice! Yes, it can be a good idea to go for some “free” runs for the rest of this week, especially because I will run in the evenings and I find evenings a bit harder.
I was a bit stressed going out for my first PG run yesterday, but just setting watch and playing my sounds was enough to make it really enjoyable - other half paced me to try to up my speed a bit and I actually quite enjoyed the freedom of 'doing my own thing' for a change! Good luck with this weeks runs, let us know how it goes! :o)
Congratulations on graduating. It’s advised to consolidate on 30 minutes until it becomes comfortable before moving on the stepping stones or another plan, and I can highly recommend it, I really felt the difference run by run.
