W6R3 today and it’s 25 mins. Have been thinking about this run since the last one, wondering if I’ll be able to do it. Still not convinced but will give it my best shot later. Think of me at 3:45 when I’m at the gym on the treadmill 😂
Unsure : W6R3 today and it’s 25 mins. Have been... - Couch to 5K

No problem at all. Just take it nice and easy. I have to admit that I hate treadmill running as it always seems harder!
I’ve ran a few times outside and preferred the treadmill, however once I’ve completed all the runs I think I’ll start running outdoors. 😊
You did W5R3... this one looks less of a step to me. You nailed the tricky intervals this week that will have made you a lot stronger. You can run 25! Tell us how well it went around 4:15 😀
Going beyond 20 minutes on a treadmill becomes hard for a beginner, especially if you don't have any distractions. Are you listening to music or watching TV? Either of those will help. THink about something else ... work, shopping, family etc.
I did the whole of the C25K on a treadmill on our works gym - and then progressed to running outdoors (after a 25 yr break) - I now do both with a vengeance
Good luck!
Wondered how you got on? I did W6R1 yesterday and didn’t find it as tricky as some have said. I actually liked the walking breaks 😂 what’s worrying me more is that from R3 onwards every other run is long and no more walking. I know I managed the 20 minutes of W5R3 and that was more mental than physical. Also I’m a gym treadmill runner but luckily ours are lined up by a window so I have plenty to look at but I will venture out once I’ve graduated (and the weather’s better 😄)
I have just done W7R3 and I also worried about the longer runs. I found that I still find the first 5 minutes are tough but after that the time ( and as everyone says it’s a time programme) seems to flow past amazingly quickly. The key is definitely mental - and I can’t tell you the number of times I swear at my legs during a run. They just seem to have a mind of their own but do end up doing as they are told. Good luck with the next runs
