27:30 Parkrun!!??

I haven't had reliable internet access for the past few weeks so it has taken me until today to look up the resuts of my parkrun at the newish San Francisco venue. There were only 16 runners - much less than the usual 150-200 at my local parkrun - these were mostly half my age so I came home second last at 27:30!!!! This was 4 minutes faster than my previous PB so I can't help but suspect the timing. Oh well - it's now recorded in my parkrun history so I guess I will have to wait and see if I can repeat it at home come winter. Usually, at home, I keep towards the back of the field at the start and take it easy as I can - but this time I was left almost standing at the start and had to run the whole thing almost on my own and did put in quite an effort just trying to keep the slowest runners within sight 😃

Great time, what a memento. I noticed that you also finished in the top 6 in the age graded results. Perhaps its a fast course so we should all go over there to get a PB.

Superb result Bazza. SF was probably a good temperature and just nice for running round so I think it is probably the right timing ;-)

Great time! Well done you. The good thing is Parkrun recognises that some courses are more demanding than others, so the time will only show as your pb against that course! Really pleased you did it while you were there. My sister lives reasonably close by and I would love to go visit her soon to give it a go (even though they would all have to wait an extra 5 mins for me). It's the only way I'm ever going to get a top 50 finish!

wow that is a really great time Bazza :D but blimey how fast are those greyhounds going in front of you !!
