For the last 9 weeks you have been my running companion and coach; always with me, strapped to my upper left arm. You've told me when to walk and when to run. You've given me tips on good technique and a structure to follow. You've encouraged me when I was flagging and given me rest when I was exhausted. But I knew from the start we weren't playing for keeps. You would never want to stick with someone like me. Always lots of younger talent out there in need of your skills and expertise; and now I find myself needing than the 5k you have to offer. But I will always remember our 9 weeks together in the summer of 2018. It's been a beautiful experience for me.
Keep on running.
