Feeling pretty pumped right now. First post Cto5k graduation run and managed an extra 1.3km in an extra 5 minutes. It was hard going too, very hilly, but it puts us in a good place for the celebration 5k run on Saturday!

Absolutely buzzing too that the group we've been running with are going to continue as a social group even though the Couch to 5k sessions have finished.... I'd been worrying about what came next!

I reckon a few consolidation runs are in order and then to think about progression to 10k, maybe!!

One thing I know for sure, I enjoyed the fireworks displays while we were out and about 😂

Great run... very good plan too... consolidate until it’s comfortable and you’ll be ready for that start line. Enjoy your celebration run.

Thank you! I'm told it's a lot flatter than the route we took today so I'm hoping that extra 0.6km is gonna be a breeze 😂

I have 2 parkruns and one is flat as a pancake... other starts uphill and takes in several more, which is a shame as it’s my home one... knowing the course I think I’ll need to be doing 7k flat to be sure to finish the 5k round there. You’d be surprised at the difference going the other way, the hills you are running build strength fast, and more surprisingly, speed. Those hills do eat energy, so if yours are anything like mine, that 0.6k will come real quick.

I’m with a group once a week now and it’s extended until Christmas, so that helps keep the motivation going

Definitely. I was quite apprehensive about joining a group but I'm so pleased we did. We had to go back a couple of weeks for them to catch up to where where we'd got doing it in our own but it was worth it... to think I'm gonna be part of a social running group makes me chuckles as I still remember how I was very much a hater of running before starting this process!

Weird isn’t it 😆, I’m doing remembrance run on Sunday, got to 3.5 km in 26 mins , aiming for 30 min run with group tomorrow night slow and steady , it’s not about times but I like to see how I’m doing from week to week

Definitely, it's a good indication of progression, after all. Enjoy your Remembrance Run
